It looks so beautiful while you are in the outside, but inside is hell, while you’re trying to get a normal life, but people will always remind you as the guys who gets fucked hard,
in face, deep throat or toping dudes, you will have a hard time to become someone serious. More movies you’ll make, more difficult it will be for you to get back to the real world. It’s not a hazard that many former porn stars have started special organizations for those porn stars that want out and don’t know how. I have lost very dear friends of mine, who fell in depression because they wanted people to forget what they did, but people won’t forget. When I go in Paris and some places in Europe some people did recognize me (yeah I haven’t change much lol). But unlike many I played my game well. You won’t find me listed in that internet website showing all porn stars, I was going to be listed but my lawyers scared them enough not to list me. Getting in porn is so easy, getting out in one piece is another story. You won’t be young forever, and someday you might want to settle down, have a boyfriend or wife with kids and forget a bit about your passage into the golden jail, but people won’t let you forget.
As a model on set you’ll be meeting all kind of people, the nice dude, the friendly dude, the professional dude, the shy, the reserve one, the not so nice one and many others. Try not to be impress by them, in fact they are just like you WORKING, they are not more special than you are because they have had two or three years that you didn’t. If you are called to work with one of those “stars” make sure you take the time to know them. You may not see it, but I do, models have their own signals, next time you watch a porn movie, check carefully how the models communicate during a sex scene. Some will pressure the arm, give specific looks, winks, smiles, smirks, raise a leg, moan a certain way (different from their moaning) and those are very important to develop, because having sex on a set is not like having sex on bed with a partner that you’ve chosen because in this case you’re in for the pleasure, on a set you’re there to WORK (yeah pleasure can be there, but not always). The other model doesn’t really know who you are, and yes he can hurt you. This is why it is important to develop those personal signals and convey them to your set partner.
Meet the pros.
If you come to me and say I want to be in porn movie… we are surrounded by people and I tell you “really, good drop your pants right now and show me your dick”. Would you do it? Yes, No and Why? The Answer is NO, why because the work you do as a porn performer shouldn’t bring your personality down and you shouldn’t accept to be treated like a vulgar piece of meat. Anyone who would even attempt to treat me that way when I was dancing, escorting and filming would see me turn around and walk away because NEVER FORGET THAT YOU ARE A PERSON not an object. You’ll be enough objectified by your fan, you don’t need to be and shouldn’t accept to be objectify within the industry. DON’T FORGET YOUR SELF RESPECT. I know many people of that industry and frankly none of them impress me.
Want to meet the industry? Go to trade shows, the AVN awards . . . you need to go and start networking. You want to meet people, make an impression on them. It's not even too cheesy to make some business cards to hand out (not just randomly- you want to talk to people, express your desire to work in the industry, and then give them your card so later, when thinking back, they can say, yeah, I liked him/her . . . and then they are able to contact you). While it's not always that way (but very much that way LOL), the adult industry is often a "who you know" sort of thing- so you need to get mingling with the actual people. Brent Corrigan would have never had such notoriety if there wasn’t all that bullshit drama attached to him, for which Michael Lucas added oil on the fire by giving him more publicity during an AVN awards event, even though he was in fact speaking the truth. You may hate Lucas, but he’s from the good school of porn, the JDC one. Want to do professional porn, get a manager. It's necessary. In my case my manager was JDC studio, because they were not just a movie studio.
And finally, go and get in contact with companies through their websites (easier) or actual big-name companies, you need to do research on them, figure out if you fit their qualifications (don’t be stupid now… don’t go in a twink specialized web if you’re a body builder and the opposite is still true) and then get in contact with them. Many of the good places will have forms online you can fill out for becoming a model or actor for the site. Or you will go to them and fill it out there with the interview. Either way, go to these auditions and start getting roles. Stay away from Cam 4 LOL
And lastly, know your information. Read up on the industry. Read the adult industry newsletters and whatnot. Get familiar with the big-name directors/producers, companies, and stars.
