My mom just called and was like I'm in the hospital and I was like what????? Apparently she went in last night and then she found out she had to have her appendix out and so she called me just and and was like I didn't call you earlier cause I didn't want you to worry.
Sorry to hear Josh.
I hope she will recover soon.
This are moments that you realize how strong a bond can be between you and your beloved.
This is a song of a Dutch singer songwriter who sings about this bond.
He sings about his father, how he loves him. It is very touchy. Just replace papa by mama, the feelings should be the same.
The lyrics (in my poor English translation)
Stef Bos: Papa songtekst
I got the same eyes
My mouth starts to look like yours
I used to be hot-tempered, you used to be hot-tempered, but we found our rest
And we sit next to each other
And we do not talk much
But for everything you do
I have the same ritual
Papa, we increasingly look alike
I have the same hands
and I get the same wrinkles in my skin
You have your idea and I have my idea
and we wander into thoughts
But we always come home
the truth which you searched and which
You never found, I search her also and in vain, as long as I live
Because papa, we increasingly look alike
U used to be strict
and god, I hated you sometimes
but your words
they lie on my lips
And now I talk
as you once chatted.
I have a wicked faith
And I love every woman
And maybe I have become
What you didn’t want at all
But papa, we increasingly look alike
and you believe in god, so you’re going to heaven and I believe in nothing, so after death we will never meat again
But papa, we increasingly look alike
I have a wicked faith
And I love every woman
And maybe I have become
What you didn’t want at all
But papa, we increasingly look alike
Oh, papa, we increasingly look alike
Hope she gets better in no time my man hang in there, no doubt you'll be her rock. Went through something similar with my father so whenever you need to talk, we'll be here!
Thankfully getting your appendix out is a very routine procedure these days, we've come a long way in the last 100 years.
As for the 'logic' of not telling you earlier, my Mum is the master of that (or is that mistress). She told me AFTER the operation that my Grandfather had been in hospital for 2 weeks and that he might have had cancer. Turns out he didn't, but still, I would have called him had I known!
You have nothing to worry about. These days, removing the appendix is a very quick and easy procedure, and only involves very small incisions which heal quickly. She will be up and running in no time.
