OoOh! but make sure that the receiver is close to where the mouse is thats usually the issue for me when my keyboard or my mouse doesn't work sometimes .. so i bring it closer or a change the battery
I had a wireless one at work, I finally went back to the old usb port mouse.
It worked and the signal was received fine. I just couldn't get the thing set right, it was flying all over the monitor and I could hit the right thing.
There was something odd about it, that we couldn't slow it down, and it traveled tons farther than I wanted.

I don't use a "mouse", and never really have used one. Instead I use a trackball...
It's adjustable and far more precise than a normal mouse, plus I don't need a pad or even a flat surface to use it and because I hardly have to move anything but my fingers and thumb, no sore wrist...
I think that wireless mouse and keyboards are just a novelty. I had one and gave it up because of the cost of the batteries and the inaccuracy of the mouse. I use a optical mouse with no problems and no cleaning of wheels.
