what did you guys think of born this way?? i personally was kinda disappointed that she chose this as her 1st single and i am a big gaga fan i do enjoy the song but i think it was over hyped but its deff a great club song i reminds me of disco era donna summer's i feel love mixed with madonna's express yourself in other words really really gay lol

I liked it. Everyone is calling it Express Yourself 2011 and it is in a way. Good message and good beat. It's very gay disco and that's a good thing

I think it was MAJORLY overhyped. I think that it's a plain song and is nothing in comparison to Bad Romance. In fact, I think she should of just released Dance In the Dark or Monster. They probably would of been way better choices than Born This Way. However, what's sad is that the world is just going to eat it up because her record company is WAY overpromoting it. I mean, she's got Apple sending people emails telling people to buy it, and every major radio station playing it every hour. I mean, is that really necessary? If you're good, it'll get out there.

I think it might get a lot of play in gay clubs just because of the theme of the song, but honestly, it really does sound like a Madonna song...and does anyone else hear the theme song of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy in it, it reminds me of it for some reason?

Hmm. I gotta say, I usually love her music but this is somewhat disappointing. Apart from the obvious similarities to Express Yourself (which most of the younger generation wouldn't know anyway, I imagine) it's the whole marketing that ruined it for me. Most gay anthems aren't meant to be gay anthems, they become so because of their message or emotion, with which gay people can identify. Born With It just seemed contrived, even before I actually heard it. The tune is ok, I guess. Nevertheless, I think her intention is overall a positive one.

I heard the song during last night Grammy award award show and then the song was over and "I said to myself...is that all there is. Is that all there is my friends?" She was also on 60 Minutes with Anderson Cooper (I found the interview on 60 Minutes much more interesting than the performance at the Grammy's.

I love the song, I didn't like it as first but I can't stop listening to it now. I'm sure there are going to be better songs on the album, but this is what her new album is about, I don't think there's a better song to start this era.

I can't wait for the second single, "Judas" though.

I'm glad you started this post. I too was disappointed with this song and all the hype that went with it. Now, don't get me wrong, its not a bad song, but from all of her previous works that were so strong and contagious, this one appears to have to grow on me to that level of her previous hits because I liked every one of her songs immediately from the first listen. Her "Fame Monster" EP was a really solid effort and to come from that with this..is a little disappointing. However, like I said..I do like it..I'm not in love with it...but it is a big hit already and will get bigger..especially with all the dance mixes to come.

I am thankful to be missing all the over-hype. Good song for the clubs and one that I am sure is on its way to be another hit for Lady Gaga.

I like the song. Then again, I'm a huge GaGa fan and love every one of her songs she's recorded that are available to the public.

I love the song, but coming from Gaga, I found it a tad disappointing. I loved The Fame - every song on it - and The Fame Monster, was great too, but this song isn't a good as her previous hits. I still like it though. Will wait for the album to get a better feeling.

Her Grammy performance... meh. I did not care for it at all.

To those comparing her to Madonna.. I don't get them. I like Madonna and all, but I just don't see her "copying" anything.

I am thrilled to see The Monster Ball concert coming to HBO though!!!

she even said it herself its not the biggest hit of the album so we are just gonna have to wait and see all im saying is she better bring it. prob shes doin what she did with the Fame album Just dance wasnt bigger then pokerface now pokerface was way more huge than just dance and every loved it i still dont stop listenin to pokerface that and bad romance and born this way will get better at the club because like other people have said with the club mixes

I liked the song. It's very dance-able but I can't help to notice its resemblance to Madonna's "Express Yourself". Nevertheless, it's the newest gay anthem that speaks for diversity and just loving who you are. It also promotes the newest battle cry, "DON'T BE A DRAG, JUST BE A QUEEN!".
