New to downloading please help

Hi guys I am a big newbie to the site so please go easy on me!

I am only used to downloading torrents so this is all new to me.

Last night I downloaded five clips from 'In your wildest dreams' which somebody posted up here. Now I just don't know where to go from here. I have the five clips in my mozilla firefox downloads. When I click tools then downloads it shows me my clips which I have downloaded. When I double click on any file it says 'application not found'.

When I right click and click 'open containing folder' it opens a new window with my files in it and when I double click on ym files it tells me windows cannot open the file.

Do I need to downloadsomething like hj split to bring all the files together as one and then it will play?

I am really sorry I have read through a few of the tutorial threads but its not making much sense to me at the moment.

From what you said it looks like a split movie (the files are named, for example, FILENAME.001, right?)
If that's the case you need something like hjsplit to join the files. After you have downloaded it there is a tutorial by Sephiroth to learn how to use it

Thank you so much guys I got it sorted OMG now I can hopefully have all the Chad Douglas porn I can find.::

Is this HJsplit joining relevant to all files which are linked on this site?

Glad you resolved your problem...
And yes, you'll probably have to use it again, depends on what you are downloading.
If it's a whole film you'll need HJsplit very often... If it is a single video it's in WMV/AVI format right away 80% of the times. Sometimes you may actually need HJsplit for a single scene, but not that often...

Hi Metal Steve...

HJSplit is fine for joining files ending in .001; .002 etc.... but if they end in .rar or.zip then you will need WinRAR ( or you could try 7Zip).. google it for FREE d/loads - and get the version for your operating system - Mac/XP/Vista or Win 7
