Nexus 7 Help

I've had a problem for sometime now and I can't figure it out. I have a Nexus 7 Tablet and I have a laptop with Windows XP Professional Sp 3. I can't get my Nexus 7 Tablet to show up in windows to copy file over. If I set it in camera mode it shows up but I can't access the files. If I set to MTP mode it says found new hardware ask how I want to search for drivers. You know check online this time only, every time and so forth. I try it and every time it fails.



Idk what to do. Any help would be awesome.

Have you searched the manufacturer's support pages?

It's entirely possible you can't use the device with an obsolete OS. Remember, Windows XP is 12 year old! You may not know this, but next summer security updates will cease, so you have less than a year to upgrade no matter what.

a try. The OS should search locally and find it, or execute it before plugging the Tablet in and try it again. Perhaps it will help. Good luck!

I downloaded that but I still get the same message as before (the one I posted a pic of in the first post.)

Now I found a solution with a free app called "USB Stick Plugin-TC" for the "Total Commander". You can find the app in the "Google-Store".

This way it is possible to connect the "Nexus 7" with external harddrives e.g. (read and write), without root priviliges.

Please give it a try, perhaps you will be able to connect the drive now.
And if this fails too, you can transmit your files to a safe (or at least trusted) cloud and load them up or down to all drives you need. I think this should be possible, but I would try in first the solution without cloud technique.
