Nintendo DS R4 cartridges ruled illegal

The High Court has ruled that 'game copiers', devices which can be used to store and play copied games on the Nintendo DS hand-held console, are illegal.

It means that the game copiers, known as R4 cartridges, can no longer be imported, sold or marketed in the UK. Companies that sold the cartridges argued that they simply allowed users to easily play home-made games.

Game copiers are designed to bypass security protection measures on Nintendo DS consoles, enabling users to download illegally pirated games and store them on a single chip. The devices can be used to store and load multiple titles. More than 100,000 game copying devices have been seized in the UK alone since 2009.

Meh, no biggie since there's a fully operational NDS emulator that works fullscreen on ur comp ;x and a whole lot of sources for games.
