Established doctors in the U.S. may only work 36 hrs. a week, but residents and interns (as well as paramedics and EMT's) work 24-48 hr. shifts all the time...

Don't think it's legal over here to do that anymore, or if it is it soon won't be.

It's impossible to function without proper rest and that's when mistakes get made!

Hi Sweets! Nice to see you back! Yeah, it happenes everywhere... residents working 48-36 hours straight in their first year... Well, this happens because residents don`t cut people only interns and the big docs do .. Well residents don`t cut until they are not 100% able to do it And it`s up to the interns to tell if they are or not... well, the medical system as well as other systems...especially politics ..they all are some f**ked up systems.
