well, for me mitzi, its becouse i use rapiduploader:http://rapidshare.com/rapiduploader.html
and it wont upload files over 100mb. its a lot easyer for me that way

Are you talking about multiple (not separately playable) parts to assemble into a full movie by joining it? Or are you talking about individual scenes?

There's a limit of 200MB for files that can be uploaded to Rapidshare. So splitting it into multiple pieces to be joined for a full movie is necessary.

If you're talking about individually playable scenes, I do that in order to help those who do not have premium Rapidshare accounts so that they can download the scenes they like best without having to download the entire movie and then finding a scene they like.


Stanyy, I used to use RapidUploader, but I switched to using Rapidshare Manager and it's great. I find it better than RapidUploader.

You could use Megarotic to upload files. They allow files up to 1GB.

The upload server I use (4shared) has 100mb upload limit so I break it down into 100mb parts and then upload it :thumbs up:

I think I can help a little here... or at least try.

The majority of what's already been said is very much true. There are certain file sharing websites (such as Rapidshare, Megaerotic, Mediafire, etc.) that only allow you to upload a certain amount of MB via a file. They differ from site to site. It would be easy to just pick certain sites, but then, there's a twist. If you're not a "Premium User" of certain places, then the download speed is significantly slower and you're sitting there with your pants at your ankles waiting for that hot new clip to reach your hard drive and that is just bad.

When it comes to full movies, the smallest I've ever seen a DVD rip of a movie would be about 700MB (which is about an hour and 30 minutes; give or take a couple). Let's say you upload that to Megaupload. Downloads in about over an hour (if you have a high speed connection).

But then... that's it. You have to wait HOURS before downloading again from that site (unless you're me... there's a small way around that, but it's difficult to do).

With Rapidshare, you have to break it up into parts. The most you'll wait without a Premium Account is about 15 minutes per part. So... at most, you're looking at an hour again for a full movie download.

Sendspace sucks COMPLETELY. It's probably the most hated of the bunch and by the time the movie hits your hard drive, you're celebrating the New Year... of 2011. LOL

ZShare is OK, but they have massive pop-ups all over the place. However, I think you can upload close to 300 MB per file... which isn't too shabby.

I guess in short, it comes down to the accesibility of the user and the uploader of the file. Does it suck for those without premium accounts? Yeah, definitely. But in the end, it might take some time, but you still end up with the same great movie (or scene) and everyone ends up happy... and with a "happy ending". LOL There are some things in life you just have to deal with, I guess... and this would definitely be one of those things.

And to TexasGuy, I thank you for uploading movies scene by scene. It really does help those who don't have a premium account, as well as just allow those to grab the scenes they feel are the most enjoyable. Big kudos to you on this process (although, I'm sure it's a very time-consuming thing to do).

SOme sites allow only a certain size for each file uploaded (I guessTo avoid Congestion of their network). Also when u split a file properly (Especially a Big file) it better this way becasue I have download a Big file complete and it turned out corrupted.
Having a file in parts helps me alot

Just to add an opinion - I like scene by scene breakups. You don't need the whole mega-DL to get one scene that way.

In fact, now that the new rule about entire entities is in place, I guess you would have to break it up.

Quite so ggold..as full movies are no longer permitted the issue is somewhat redundant.
