Well, I was always a winter fan :D

I feel much better in colder and especially in icy temperatures :thumbs up:

Summer could be already over - I would appreciate that but I know there are many people who have exactly the opposite point of view and I think there will maybe follow some more comments to the made statements.

I posted something very similar a few weeks ago, and I knew I wasn't alone in hating hot summer weather, although probably in a minority :p

The heat has gone here, still a bit muggy from time to time and not what I'd call cold, but it's more spring or autumn temperatures, not to mention a month's rain falling in 3 days in some places!

The heat nearly killed me! Don't want it back!

All seasons can have good things and bad things. It is very hot here too but there are fireflies everywhere so I must enjoy the benefits of all things in a season.:thumbs up:

We usually have average 90-100 degree F. temps with 80-95% humidity during the summer here. Hot and sticky...:whew:

But I prefer to look at the bright side...:)

We also have two major universities and several tech schools in town, and given the heat and humidity, the standard summer uniform for males under 25 is cargo shorts and sneakers...;)

I've also found a wonderful way to take advantage of all the beauty afforded to us by the intense heat by taking the scenic route to work every day...

I drive right along side the "Greenway Passage" ( a jogging/bicycling path) which takes me first past a nice park with tennis courts, then along the river front, on to the basketball courts, the skate park, across the creek, and as we get closer to USI, we pass baseball, football, and soccer fields, more basketball courts, a public pool, golf course, and finally the wetlands preserve...

Jocks, skaters, bicyclist, joggers, ball players, etc...

Eye candy every where you look the entire way...

It's like driving through an Abercrombie & Fitch catalog shoot.:dreaming:

It also puts be in a good mood going to work. Which, in its own way is a treat as well. My boss is a real big high school athletics booster, and as such, seems to hire a great number of former high school wrestlers and football players when they graduate. About 40% of my co-workers (we have over 70 employees) are 18-21 yo jock boys...:thumbs up:

The real problem is not the heat, but the moisture in the air.

I am fortunate to live in a region of Italy that, except for particular periods, has a nice dry summer weather, where you can sit in the shade and enjoy the air.

However, although passionate practitioner of skiing, I love the summer.
(fewer clothes on bodies and more to be admired) ;)

I have my roots in The Netherlands. I have been abroad many times, but I am always happy to be back. Home sweet home, despite rain and nasty weather. I like it that way.

Well I think we had our summer here back in May for those few days, and that's it.... and as "XMan101" says some places here are going to have a months worth of rain in three days! OUCH.

It is amazing that a month or so ago we had a drought here. And with all this rain over the past month ish, all the reservoirs are full again! WOW... That's a lot of rain

We've had 100-107 degree temps every day for the past two weeks. The ground has been so dry that sparks from the wheels of a passing train started a brush fire the other day. Fireworks have been banned. Today for the first time in over a month, it rained... For all of ten minutes, just long enough to turn it from a dry, arid, desert type heat to a moist, muggy, sticky, wet heat...

***EDIT***

I just found out that the intense heat has caused the pavement to start buckling on some roads here...
It's literally hot enough to melt the pavement...

I am an equal opportunity whiner, I hate high heat, despise below freezing temps, am depressed in Autumn when the leaves fall and American football starts and in Spring miserable with allergies.

But I live a happy life:))

the place i work at is nice to work at during the winter for most part it is like 70 inside when it was 30 outside--working around a bunch of heater bars around 800 to 900 degrees helps keep the place warm but now it is 95 to 100 degrees-- fees like130 to 135 if not more in the place--so i cant wait until winter time is back
