Hi guys,

I've been hearing that there is a way to get a rapidshare premium account without paying for it? Does this happen by uploading files and then having a certain amount of ppl download them or what?

You can make a Free Collector's account first. Once you have uploaded a file on RapidShare it gives you an option to create a collector's account. After you make it you will upload all your files using your collector's account and you collect RapidPoints by other users downloading your files.

Each time a user downloads your files from one of the free Collector Zones, you will receive a RapidPoint. Subject to the condition is that the file is at least 5 Megabyte in size and the downloader has generated not more than 3 RapidPoints in the last hours. Premium users can generate for you up to 255 points per day. You can convert your points into a 30-day Premium Account. Activation follows immediately.

For a 30-day Premium Account you need 10,000 RapidPoints.

Also Bo, i have some files i want to upload both large and small sizes. Since I don't have a premium account yet, would it be okay for me to split my smaller files which are around 80-100 Mb into 6 or 7 parts so I can rack up points faster? Because rapidshare is only letting me upload a max of 200Mb file at a time with an upload speed of around 20-30 Kb/sec

lol Yes, you can use that trick to get some more points
Even tho it can be kinda annoying for the downloaders, still you're the uploader and it's your right and choice how will you upload your files
