Rapidshare Question?

I want to start sharing vids again, but i still want to use Rapidshare so i can still get free premium acct but this is the thing: last time i had both a premium acct and collectors acct, and had almost 100gigs of vids in them, but rapidshare deleted both

so now i decided to buy a premium acct, and I'm hoping since I'm paying for it they wont delete it, but I'm wondering if i should still use a collectors acct for the uploaded vids? what do you think?

Did they give you any reason for deleting both accounts, like copyright infringement, terms of use or inactivity?
If you got a free Premium account then you must have swapped points to create it, so in a way you did pay for it, instead of converting the points to cash.
I have both but all the latest stuff I have uploaded to my Premium account, as eventually I will close my collectors account.
So you have to remember with any host they will close your account if you have copyright material in it. Obviously if Rapidshare done that, then they would have hardly any files left.

It means you don`t have a premium account and free downloading is limited... one archive every i don`t know how many minutes and if you download too many archives, they`ll just say no more LOL like on other file hosts. Or maybe the file you are trying to dld as a free user is more than 100 MB which means it can only be dld by a premium user...or 200 MB can`t remember well

@ Jeffpee a few weeks ago I have received a message from RS telling me I have more than 25 Gb of space used and that they will delete any file that hasn`t been downloaded in 1 month or 2 months...can`t remember well.Now I have aprox 30 Gb uploaded (because I deleted some old files) but all of them are active so no more deleting messages.

My question is: did they cancel your premium account while it was active? Maybe someone phished your account and used it with different IPs ...cause you know, RS keeps tracks of your IP and if on a premium account there are lots of IPs dlding, they can say it has been phished and they can delete it....

yeah on some it does it on some it doesn't do it. It did it on the one video I wanted though oh well no biggie.

How much is the file? over 100 or 200 MB? Or maybe the one who uploaded the file clicked on "premium download" check box in RapidUploader or Manager....cause there is this option: regular download, premium download...and one other I can`t remember now.

Hey Josh...the same thing happens to me. If its not because you've recently downloaded something (I'm not a premium member either) then its because there are tons of people downloading at the moment and its first come first served with premium members getting the first available slots....gotta just keep on tryin...

Every since they suspended my premium account for "service violations", I have uploaded everything to a collector account and I just use the premium account for downloading. That way, if my account gets deleted again, I still have the premium to use and I can always open another collectors account for uploading...

Gotta protect that premium account, lol

Been getting this message for about 3 weeks now.. RS must be very busy, or maybe using slower servers.
