I bought a new membership from Rapidshare 10 days ago and now have "No traffic left" messages up.Hardly good value for 20 euro's,Anybody else with the same problem?:?

Thanks for your imput Jockuser24.I have just renewed my account 10 days ago and have downloaded a fair bit but surely not used 20 euro's worth.I am awaiting an E mail from them.Thanks again.

No, but I have a premium account with seven months left to run, RapidPro is active, I have 5852 so-called 'rapids', 85337 MB of traffic left to download, and am using 0.04 GB of storage.
AND I STILL CAN'T DOWNLOAD ANYTHING!
It tells me Rapidpro has expired on one page, and that it is active on another. So: I can't download as a premium user, however logging out and using the free download works just as well. If only they'd stop messing about.

Try deleting all cookies related to Rapidshare, then log in again. I had something similar happen with my Filesonic account, free worked and premium didn't. They changed something that made my stored cookie not work anymore, but wiping the cookies out the logging in again fixed the problem.

Rapidshare have also now got a new interface with much smaller text that sometimes doesn't work properly. And a new up/downloader with no proper explanation about how to use it. :angry:
Generally I find their service very good, but their communication skills with their customers are terrible. X_X

Rapidshare 2

I've tried deleting my Rapidshare cookies but can only free download so it looks as if i have used my points.I did download a few tv series but the points seem to go nowhere now so I won't buy more.You just don't know where you are with them.My last buy lasted at least 6 months and I downloaded stacks but now 10 days worth.I still await a reply from them.I won't hold my breath.thanks for all your imputs.

Another possibility is that your account has been hijacked by someone else who has used up all your Rapids, or has sent themselves Rapids from your account. The old interface enabled you check what files had been dowloaded using your account so you could easily check whether there were any suspicious downloads using up lots of Rapids or points. But this seems to be no longer possible with the new interface. :angry:
Did you always keep your account under the Security Lock which makes it much more difficult to hi-jack the account?
But you should be entitled to a detailed traffic breakdown from Rapidshare so you can check every thing yourself.

I did not have time or the need to unlock my account so I think that was secure.But as you say I should get a breakdown.My last account I used to download a stack of old tv and I really used a lot but this went in a flash.I will post the result of my enquiry but will not buy any more rapids unless satisfied it was just a mistake.Thanks again.

Got it sorted, but no thanks to Rapidshare.
Apparrently under their new guidelines you need to pay for downloads, which you do by buying 'Rapids'. These Rapids are used up with each download, depending on size, until you need to buy more.
I have a paid-up account until April 2011, but couldn't download until I worked out - on my own with no guidance from Rapidshare WHATSOEVER - that I have to convert the Rapids shown in my account to downloads. Once I did that, things were back to normal.
Very very poor information from Rapidshare - it appeared I actually had to buy more and thereby spend more money until I worked out that I already had a store of Rapids in my account for conversion, equal to the value of the six months remaining in my account.
Simple now I know, but very confusing until worked out.

If you have a Rapidshare Pro account in Settings you can arrange for automatic extensions of the time period and traffic before they expire. To arrange these you have to temporarily disable the Security Lock This only works if you have sufficient Rapids in your credit, it doesn't automatically extend a money payment which normally still requires your personal authorisation.

There are other useful settings as well, but as usual with Rapidshare the explanation of what they are and how to change them is a bit obscure. Rapidshare FAQ is pretty hopeless & hasn't been updated for months.
