OK, so I made myself feel a stupid this morning after a long time. To give a little background: How many of you hate it when you open a website and some video automatically starts playing? This happens to me a lot when I open CNN or YouTube. So, since I use Chrome most of the time I found an add-on that stops the playing of an HTML5 video when I open the site. So no more news videos unless I actually want to watch them.
A couple of weeks ago I went to open up my Pandora radio station to listen while I was posting, which I hadn't done in quite a while. Well, it would only play one song and then stop. I was like WTF! I closed the browser and reopened and it did the same thing. WFT!. I thought maybe Pandora had been stupid and now required you to upgrade to have the continuous play. I looked over the terms and nothing there about it.
It was frustrating the hell out of me because then I just went to YouTube to watch videos and listen to the music I wanted to. Today though, I wanted to listen to Pandora while I was putting together a new IKEA dresser. Well, it played one song and then stopped again. WTF!
Then it hit me like a ton of bricks. It's in Chrome. I have the autoplay disabled. Fuck me! Turned it off, refreshed the browser, and viola, autoplay again!
I cannot believe that it took me that long to realize that it was the disabled autoplay that was my frustration.
Yea, music again!
