Pictures RIP Natalie Cole

I am still in shock...this one totally caught me off guard....I am a huge fan of her music and has had the opportunity of seeing her a couple of times in concert with the last one being a couple of years ago. I have to say that I found out about her death via the internet. There is very little for some odd reason being said about it within the mainstream media. The only show that I've witnessed that has acknowledged her death was the View and they even played a clip of her singing from a previous visit to the show at the end of today's broadcast. I found this to be very disappointing due to the fact that she has been around for quite some time and is considered to be a music legend. When I was much younger....I was introduced to her music by my older siblings and mother who used to play her earlier albums non-stop. I have her whole music catalog in my collection and she will be surely missed.

A wonderful singer, and everything I like in a singer, a proper singer - just as strong at the big ballads as the uptempo tracks. And can sing live too !
Her Christmas albums are my most played Christmas albums when decorating the tree, and throughout the season.
So, to hear the news after listening to her so much...was very shocking.
Her name is forever linked to her father, but she more than proved her self to be very talented in her own right.

This one well known talk show who had not mentioned Natalie Cole's death at all had made a small mention of it today and the only reason this was because a guest moderator had done a lengthy segment on the sudden passing of David Bowie which prompted these talk show hosts to make mentioned of recent deaths in the music world over the past couple of weeks which also included Lemmy from the group Motorhead.
