Which handset do you prefer? Samsung's S3 or Apple's iPhone 5?

I prefer Samsung S3 more since it's got more better features than a IPhone, but Apple's Iphone 5 is alright too :) and got good features as well except for it's Maps service, I wish i had both devices, I only got a Samsung S2.

It's more about the apps. I have both iOS and android devices. I prefer my iPhone since it has more apps that I will actually use.

So far this thread is utterly useless. People stating opinion as objective fact!

More better features? How on earth do you measure that?

Computers, phones, tablets, all these things are very personal. There is no absolute measure because we all rank different things as having different importances for us.

I am VERY sensitive to bad UI design. Inconsistency in basic UI is like nails on a blackboard to me, that means I cannot use Android without throwing the phone against a wall! Some of my friends do not even notice the self same inconsistencies that drive me potty, and they are very happy Android users.

Screen size is another great example. Bigger is not necessarily better! I have small hands, I can hold an iPhone comfortably and use it single-handedly. I cannot do the same with the larger Android phones, I have to use the two-handedly, and that is just not acceptable to me. I want my hand-held devices to be usable in one hand. Others have bigger hands than me, or, don't mind needing two hand to use their phones. The fact that phablets sell at all proves that my opinion on screen size is in no way universal.

There is not best phone, there is just a best phone FOR YOU. People need to stop treating technology choices like a religion. Don't get what is "cool", or call people stupid because they have made a different choice, just make and informed decision and get the device that will serve you best and be happy!

My current devices are Windows Phones and Symbian, so I don't really have a dog in this fight. It would be a pain for me to use either the S3 or iPhone 5. But if I had to pick I would want the Apple hardware running the Android software.

The Samsung phone is too big and plastic for me. The iPhone size is perfect and the build is classy. But, I don't own any IOS apps. I do own some Android apps, so that would be my software preference between the two.

I like my iPhone very much but when something goes wrong it typically takes forever for me to get it back to the way I like. Also annoyed I can't easily backup my music unless it was bought from iTunes.

Edit: just got updated to iOS 6.1. I don't see any difference in operation but it made me think of how iPhone is the only phone that doesn't rely on carrier's generosity and/or a jailbreak to get the newest os.

Definitely S3. I can expand the storage and change the battery if I need to. Can't do that with the iphone!

Apple... I have Android Motorola (Now under Google Business), I had Samsung shit service, and i have Apple incredible OS.... and also have Lumia at the moment just bough it month ago, so still can't tell it good or not, but at the moment it the best

So your choice... and Apple is not too expensive it depend on your money cause Samsung or other also have expensive series

But if I had to pick I would want the Apple hardware running the Android software.

Different from me, cause if it me i want to use Samsung hardwere to run Apple OS (Software) lol cause Samsung always come with higher Hardware than apple, but after the test the OS make it slower than Apple lol

I like my iPhone and love it but she something goes wrong its a pain to bring back to the way I like it. Also I don't get why apple provides no way to save my music unless I bought it from iTunes.

Hi c750dt:heart:

Try using this App from Macroplant called "iExplorer" which lets you easily transfer music, movies, playlists and many more from any iPhone, iPod or iPad to your computer and iTunes. > http://refhide.com/?http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/ < It's available on Both Mac and Windows OS however the software isn't free but i have downloaded this serial key for Windows and it works 100% and you can update the software which doesn't affect the serial key >
You must click 'Like' before you can see the hidden data contained here
I hope you like it :)

Samsung is not a company in the American sense, it's more like a loose federation of related companies. Apple buy nothing from Samsung's mobile arm that they are in competition with. Apple do still buy some of their components from different arms of Samsung, but they are cutting back on that and spreading more of their business around other companies.

Although the iPhone is still assembled in China, some of it's most important components are actually made in the USA. The CPUs come from Texas, and the gorilla glass for the screens comes from Corning who I think are in Kentucky.

If you think the iPhone is the same as a Samsung except for the software you are very very wrong. Samsung make plastic phones, Apple prefer aluminium, gorilla glass, and stainless steel. The tolerances on the parts in an iPhone are staggeringly small - the devices almost feel like they were hewn from a single block of aluminium. I've not come across any other company that makes such solid feeling yet light products. The iPhone 5 is like some sort of voodoo, something that solid feeling should not feel that light!
