Of course that has nothing to do with saving anyone - but a nice diversion :p

well i think that even with small things we can save someone, like giving some food to homeless person, or maybe stopping some kids on hitting another boy, if you think about it, maybe you are saving their life, what if the homeless guy was just 1 day away from dying of starvation, or what if the kid got hospitalized and then die.
so i think we have the power to save someone even if it doesnt look like ^^

So true, Eric, and well said...and saving someone doesn't need to be their life...god knows so many people need to be saved from dispair, lonliness, desperation, depression among others. I worked the food line at the homeless shelter Christmas morning in Newark, NJ...which has a horrendous homeless population...and I spent alot of time just talking to the many guys/gals who just seemed so down and out. I just hope I affected at least one of them in a positive way...I seem to think I did.

A friend of mine has started to do that, Joe. He helps with giving out the free meals etc. Told me that it's amazing the different types of people that depend on it and that you find there. Not what you'd expect at all, some are obviously from a decent background who have fallen on very hard times. Quite sad really, there is only so much we can do but every little helps!

I think we often feel like we have nothing to offer. But I have found the best way to help people is just to stop and listen to them. There are so few people in our lives who will actually listen to us. They are usually busy working out what they want to say. So if we can stop and listen to people, genuinely just listen. Then we open up all sorts of opportunities to save them.

Hey Thor,
Yeah been there, done that. It's amazing what you can do when you just listen to people.
