If you want to take another step, talk to him and in your own way, let him know that you enjoy being around him. After that, (to use the tennis metaphor), the ball is in his court.
It's probably not going to go any further - so just look and enjoy. And maybe try to find an activity or hangout that cute Persian guys like at your school - and hang out there. Your chances are good that somebody there will also be gay. And besides, a lot of Persian guys aren't as hung up on the gay/straight identity and don't mind some discrete hanky-panky.
