Since yesterday my neighboor is on a vacation and same as last year he has a (gay) friend (single, 40 something) of him looking after his house, as I had requested my neighboor he sent his friend for tea at 2 PM today and at 2PM sharp he was in my house so we could have a chat of what he will be doing here and to assure him I can assist him if he should bump into any problems while staying at my neighboors house.
After tea he went and I had same feeling as last year, I think I would like to know him better, but how to start this?
This afternoon I started preparations for a "family dinner" (my family [Mother, sister, brothers and the rest] will have dinner here tomorrow evening) and my plan is not to invite him (it would be embarrasing for all of us) but to bring him some foods so he can have a good dinner in a (for him) strange enviroment.
Problem is however I am not sure he likes me to do that, maybe he likes to stay on his own, second problem, not sure either he likes Indonesian foods but most of all not sure if he likes me or just accepts me as the man who stays next door and has been asked to look after the house of my neighboor while he stays there.
Normally with my neighboor being home I often bring him foods and fruits or he eats dinner with me, but that is not formal, my neighboor and me are not close friends but we do share some small things.
Should I act if "the man next door" is same as my neighboor? Should I bring him the foods or not? And by doing so I will show my interest in him?
