Signature Help

So I can't get my signature to work right can someone explain more about signatures and how they work like the maximum image size and so forth. My image is an animated gif. The original image size is 986x166 is that too big?

Hi Josh, this is the instruction that should appear if you edit your signature -

The maximum size of your custom image is 500 by 100 pixels or 35.0 KB (whichever is smaller).

Hopefully that'll answer your problem

Yes but It won't animate and I don't know why.

Have you resized it keeping the right file extension (gif)? Check also that's under 35 KB.

It should work in this way.

This goes for smods.

Mine instruction says:
The maximum size of your custom image is 450 by 250 pixels or 30.0 KB (whichever is smaller).

I think the size for vips is even smaller.

Josh it doesn't animate because your gif pic exceeds the maximum file size. Probably.

Oh I didn't know we had different allowances for sigs! I've never used one but it's probably a forum software default.

Signature does not show in posts

My signature is a 22.4 kb GIF file of 400 X 60 pixels but it does not show-up in any of my posts~X(

In my control panel I can see the signature and the signature is enabled. Request any admin to please check admin CP if my signature is blocked/disabled there

There is no signature in your account. Send me the link on a PM and I'll have a look at it

If we allowed them to be massive, they'd really slow up the loading of each and every page for some of our slower connected users. I'd imagine that's why
