Sites Like Pimp&Host

Anyone know of any sites similar to Pimp&Host (That are allowed).

I'm not one of the bigger afficionados on pic hosts and to be frank, the only two I've got personal experience of is a) P&H b) Stooorage. As long as P&H works it's great, but the problem is...well, all the technical problems that happens too often in my opinion.
I think Stooorage has been more reliable in terms of general functionality, but it has other disadvantages.
I think you should talk to zortek; he's been using picture hosts for a very long time and I think he knows the most there is to know on their advantages and disadvantages.

umm, thanks! The only thing I liked about Pimp&Host is that you can upload all files at once. You are right about the problems Pimp&Host is having though, considering it's down right now. Also I don't get why upload is disabled on GH as well. Stupid technology!

i'm sticking with p&h

sure, from time to time there are a few difficulties, but it's a free service and so flexible as an uploader, plus offers zip downloads of albums .. the pros far outweigh the cons

i searched a while ago and had no satisfaction finding a halfway acceptable alternative..

and as a mod here checking posts, let me assure you that P&h's occasional tech difficulties are no greater than, and actually less than, many of the other pichosts .. all of which from time to time won't load, are offline, etc etc etc.

ps ... and there is no vested interest on my behalf in saying this, just talking as a pic uploader who likes to show it all and be able to offer downloads to those who are interested



pps - the gh upload widget uploads directly to p&h - not to gh, so that function has gone while the maintenance is under way

Thanks Gorgik & Zortek..I'll just wait into Pimpandhost get it together. Kind of a struggle to look for another like Pimp&Host hehe. I really like it, despise it's problems. But thank you yall :big hug::big hug:

I wondered if the " Upload temporary disabled. Maintenance in progress." message appearing both on GH and on P & H was something to do with a V-Bulletin software/server issue?

the problem has been "server issues" and some fried hds ... problem very close to fixed now according to p&h so we should be back to normal fairly soon

Pimp&Host is the best. Its free so there may be problems from time to time. I've never found a pic host that is so easy to use. It will be up eventually.

okay, PimpAndHost is "maybe" the best, but nobody here has experience with UploadHouse? :thinking:
You can enlarge and reduce images to your own cover seal (less mgb or more mgb) that you can not at Pimp and yet it seems to me an advantage.
