Well I keep getting bugged to do something like this... so under duress here it is. I had several goes to put a soundtrack to the pics but it wouldn't work. And my editing skills on the vid clips are pretty poor ( as you will see )... there is one section that should have been a different clip altogether !
My advise is look at a few pics then skip to the New Year's beach party & fireworks at the end of the 2nd vid!
We have shots around the village where my hotel was.. the family's shacks have 2 brick walls with the rest of palm fronds and plastic sheeting..they have electicity but cooking and hot water are on a log fire outside, and water from the wells, different world eh?... hindu temple at Baga, fishing boats where the Baga River reaches the sea, Baga beach, tibetan market, why I didn't hire a bike!, sunsets.
Calangute Beach, sunsets, fruit and fish market.. Baby Hammerhead Shark, Barracuda, Pomfert, Kingfish... Zanzibar Shack beach party - from sunset 'til late... Coco Beach... local food stalls for spicy fish, samosas, pakoras, bel puri - all washed down with freshly squeezed sugar cane juice... you can buy anything on the beach, sarongs, sunglasses, bags, there's the ice cream bike, even a walking book shop...night time shave/haircut... New Years Eve on the beach.. hindi pop/bangra/trance .. and Fireworks, all along the beach.
