I use DVD Shrink and I can highly recommend it.
DVD Shrink: DVD Ripping and Backup
Latest OFFICIAL Version: 3.2.0.15
Operating System: Windows 9x/2000/XP
License: Freeware

If are ready to do some reading to figure out how to use it; Megui is really great. you can do high quality backups with that and you have the freedom to use whatever codec or container you choose unlike the commercial software. You can find the software and tutorial :
