I'm loving these London bus ads going around at the moment.

Soon enough, our cause and our struggle will be ignored, and some other "life style" will take place in the book of all that is wrong, inconvenient, and will destroy society, making our "sins of sodomy and pervertion" obsolete before the eyes of a disgustingly castrating society.

The ads are pretty spot-on, too. I kind of want to move to London one day... dreams that turn into dreams.

Greeting to you, my E(u)rotic AleXXX. Glad to see that beautiful mind of yours making new lovely threads again. *hugs*

A few years ago, they tried to do the same thing in some Italian cities, but the mayors of those cities, on strong political pressure, but above for the will of the Church, have blocked the initiative in the bud.

As usual, my country gave a good demonstration of ... "democracy." X_X

It was emphasized that in our "secular" state, decisions must be approved by the Church.

One can argue the merits of the thing or not. But what appears on buses in the photo, is an expression of freedom and democracy.

What are these buses, Alex? Regular public buses? Paid ads? Or something else.

The "no god" ad is even more amazing than the gay ad!

Cheers to London in any case!!!

The "No God" ad was a little while ago (unless it's been revived again) and the advertising standards insisted on the word "probably" being added, it wasn't originally planned to be included.

It started as a kind of joke on the net and expanded and money came in to have it done!

Yes, they're both paid for ads, the Gay one by Stonewall. That does look good when it's on the side of a pink bus :p (They're not just in London !!)

Some people are gay. They'd better read the bible and shape up before they wind up swimming in a lake of fire.

j/k. I like that bus.

If you're in the US then we have

Fort Worth, Texas a few years back. Christians countered with their own ads

This is our Mayor

The battle hasn't quite been won yet. Some Christian group was pretty outraged and tried to launch a counter-campaign mimicking the stonewall ads promoting a 'gay cure'.

The mayor stepped in and promptly vetoed them, calling them offensive.

I've never been to Texas(thank god), so I've never seen those. We have nothing like that where I'm from in Oregon. Though I guess we don't even really have a CITY here either lol

US-American christians make me a little afraid. I think there are far more radical christian groups in the States than in Europe or at least they have more influence. Just look at the Creationists.

I know it's not really on the side of a bus :D , but go here:

(I didn't know that Kentucky lies "deep within Middle-America" though, lol)

I think the problem is that in the US, Christians actually have political sway. In Western Europe religion and politics mix like oil and water. Religion is strictly a personal matter kept to churches. If a politician ever mentioned mentioned religion he'd be labeled an offensive religion looney. Take Tony Blair for example, he only 'came out' as a catholic once he left office.

I'd like to share the irony to our American cousins that gay people already have the right to a civil partnership or full on marriage. Not only that but atheist straight people have won a recent court battle to gain 'equality' with gays by soon having the right to a civil partnership in place of marriage themselves.

Yeah Oregon is where people stop to get gas on their way from California to Washington and vice versa, and I like it that way, I've never been to a big city that I liked.
