To think that we are the only life in the entire universe is just stupidity. New planets are discovered almost everyday. With our very limited technology, the amount of space visible to us is like being confined to one square block of NYC, and that's just in our own galaxy.

And yes, aliens have visited us before, they went to L.A. saw a traffic jam made up entirely of off-road vehicles and decided we that were just to fuckin' stupid to bother with...

I think if we did have a visitor it wouldn't necessarily be very pleasant. If you think how we might treat, say, a discovered ants nest! The technology to get here may mean they are so far advanced that they would look at us as we would view an ants nest.

There is a power in the universe that is totally untapped by us, a power we don't really understand yet or can utilise.

I know it exists, I was just saying to Whorf the other day......

guys...just google "hubble telescope photos" - look for wide shots that show 50 or so GALAXIES in one photo - here's the bad news...we're ONE of these....the universe is SO MUCH MORE MASSIVE than any of us can imagine...I'm waiting for Bill Engvall to put it in perspective for me???

I was speaking to someone that made a good point that this galaxy is designed so that any interaction with otherworldly civilisations would be impossible - we have enough wars and social problems in this world alone, imagine the problems if we were dealing with outer planitary people!
