Sam Adams over at Slate got the joke that The Onion's phony film critic Peter K. Rosenthal was putting over in his Spiderman: Homecoming review. What if Tom Holland in Spiderman got the same sexist leering treatment from reviewers that Gal Gadot got in Wonder Woman?
Rosenthal (actually actor Ron E. Rains) sees the story of Peter Parker, aka “lust’s muse,” is also the story of him coming into “his newfound power as an erotic being,” one whose “very presence inflames the carnal urges of all around them.”
Now I want to see this movie.
