Well done steak is way too burnt for me and blue steak is just not my thing. I prefer medium, as again blood kinda scares me a bit X_X

I like mine v-e-r-y rare. When a waiter asked me how I wanted it cooked I explained (Charred on the outside and bloody in the middle) he replied "Oh, that's what we call 'stunned'. I got a kick out of that.

to brmstn and Josh: Sorry guys, I maybe wrote it too simple. But my experinces are that "bloody - medium" and "medium - well" levels are quite difficult to strike. They exist only if you do your own steak at home. If you order it in restaurant. You will get one or other in 95%.

On the very rare occasions that I can actually afford to go out for a steak dinner, I damn well had better get what I paid for...

But, since I work in a butcher shop, 99% of the time I grill my own...
