Stories about Activ3 Dvty... are we skeptical?

Hi folks,

Came across this blog (and it is just a blog), purporting to get exclusives in relation to AD, of note: (i) David worked in the military, stationed at FBI HQ in VA??? http://anonym.to/?http://www.queerclick.com/archive/2009/12/active_dutys_david_speaks.php) (ii) Randy is dead (http://anonym.to/?http://www.queerclick.com/archive/2010/01/rip_active_dutys_randy.php). Carbon monoxide poisoning (accidental). The latter story is very recent... the blog (or one of its 'sources' published a memorial vid for Randy a few days ago and it has already gotten some 13,000 hits:



But there is no way of verifying any of this! It could easily be all made up? The only reason I pose the question here is because of the streams of comments on both youtube and the blog demonstrating how upset many folks are getting about the alleged death (http://anonym.to/?http://www.queerclick.com/archive/2010/01/rip_active_dutys_randy.php).

Also, note that the blog's 'memorial' is just a collection of hardcore porn shots --that's just not right! Something is seriously up with all this...

So, can anyone shed any light of the various startling revelations?? Hate to be skeptical, but obviously a lot of people have not paused to even question these reports. I'm not aware of AD making any kind of release, and it's doubtful the site's actors would do interviews with a blog, given the purported context/background of a military investigation (possible jail time).

Don't know anything about poor Randy...

However, there's been confusion about David Bradberry because of some blogs not checking dates and jumping to false conclusions. David has spoken to GLBT journalists about coming out after four years in the USMC, which he says was an excellent experience he doesn't at all regret.

The only "acting" he did while on active duty was the training film depicted in Leatherneck magazine.

Only after his honorable discharge did he join a (special) friend called DJ, camming for Dink Flamingo. He then appeared in at least two Active Duty DVDs, using his real name David (no last name), and was cast by Director Brent Corrigan in his productions. Don't know what name he's using now or what's been released.

"Randy"'s death was announced by Dink on the Active Duty site last week, where he posted the tribute video. It was also discussed at length by members in chat.

I agree, that blog you mention is really insensitive including all the porn shots - which some people have already commented on there - but his death is true sadly.

I dunno about the hose thing mate. u are right when it is suside its the hose senario but u can die from monoxide poisoning from any carbon burning source. a fireplace thats not properly ventalated can kill u, even ur gas heater has to be regularly checked and the vent kept open. theres a lot of those deaths, we even have tv ads warning us in ireland about them so they arent as rare as u might think.
to immedially say suside when eveyone is sayin it wasnt isnt fair until more facts are known.
i read in a report he fell asleep in a poorly ventalated room and was killed by monoxide poisoning in his sleep. while we c a lot of hose monoxide poisoning in the car on tv and alikes doesnt always mean if ur in ur 20's u cant die accidentially.

as for the age thing, u might have a point. unfortunally u cant start making laws about every freedom and putting an age on them. an age for one person isnt right for another. as u said everyone person is individual and at some point society has to hold up its hand and say, well mate from here on in its up to u.
theres huge debates sayin how teenagers are trapped in limbo from childhood before being regonised as adults and how that causes conflict. theres no right of passage as it were, some even some saying the age of voting should be lowered.
i dont think u can have one age for this and another for that, in my personal opinion when u hit 18 congrats u made it, heres the keys to adulthood, enjoy!
and besides who here at 19/20 done things that they wish they didnt even in public, its a part of experiencing the freedom of adulthood

as for the AD site, a thought occured to me. u can enlist in the US at 17 i believe meaning they can go out and kill which is far worse than doin a guy i thinks...
again weird... 17 u can enlist and kill, but u gota wait till ur 18 to film havin sex but the age of concent is what 16? and at 18 u can take up smoking but 21 before u can drink?
i can already c the confusion in growning up lol
pick an age and stick to it is wha im sayin i suppose

I'm not quite sure what your asking here but I can tell you that yes Randy is dead, and it seems to be an accidental death (I've heard nothing about a hose being used, or even if he was in a car, for all I know he could have been in an Ice fishing shanty with a faulty kerosene heater) BTW, Randy also worked at Miami Studios as Randy Hawke and has an identical twin brother Ricky, who also did videos, some along with Randy, at Miami.

I can also tell you, that yes many of the models at AD are real military, most have left the service, but a few are still active members. A few years ago a big scandal broke out about the soldiers performing there, most of them members of the 101st Airborne, and several were court martialed, including Cole. Dink Flamingo, despite what you may think of him did give his full support, and hired a battery of attorneys to fight for them and got many of the charges dismissed, he also refused to give the military any records to be used for the prosecution and even shut down his web site to prevent them from gaining information there.

The FBI Academy is at Quantico, the primary training facility for new agents. Maybe he was attached there.

I don't know what's worse:

1) Imagining Henry having sex with his hideous wife.

A few months ago someone posted Randy's real name on a blog and said that his death was in fact a suicide. So I did a google search using the name that was given on the blog and as it turns out that was in fact Randy's real name.

Now I don't know if he committed suicide or not but the guy who knew his real name says he did. He's at least as credible to me as Dink Flamingo.

Randy had a pretty wife and a young son. So again it appears that the that another so called gay4pay performer has either killed himself, murdered someone, or gotten in trouble with the law. Or in Randy's case perhaps a tragic accident. I think the confusion these guys feel about their sexuality might be contributing to this stuff.
