I do not do Tweets or facebook either.Not got the time.From some of the messages I've seen I'm not missing anything.My everyday trivia is boring to someone else so somebody else's is so much more so.Unlike some of todays youth I have no interest in celebrities or in being famous. You will find yourself that time changes your prospective on life.

Wasn't a big enough factor to change the former pope though.
And despite being 22, I personally don't engage on Twitter.

I send the odd text on my cell-phone, but have no interest in either facebook or twitter. E-mail is very useful.
A friend uses twitter a lot and it seems to me that most of the 'tweets' people leave for him could just as easily have been emailed to him, in private. And of course he could then reply to any email -it's more private. So it seems then that a major aspect of twitter vs. just email, is that tweets can be public so if you have a lot of tweets you can broadcast how popular you are...
That's fair enough, I don't necessarily criticize anyone, but I hanker after the old days when things seemed more private. One up-side of twitter and the like is that anyone can broadcast their ideas, the flow of their life, their thoughts and opinions, which can be good in terms of freedom of speech.:thinking:
As with most things in life 'pros and cons'.
I am old enough to remember the days when a great deal of communication happened by way of the post.
There is something more authentic about getting a physical letter from someone?
Just some food for thought.:cheers:

Yes i agree with you.The trouble is that its fine to have an opinion but it seems that 98% on these sites are very mundane statements.My life is of interest to me but boring crap for another.I(unlike most) have no interest in other peoples lives.following so called celebrities goings on to me is boredom personified.
