worth a look? I get BBCamerica on my digital cable now so I can see the new one if I want....should I?

This will date me but when I first had cable TV the American Public Broadcasting System was getting programming from anywhere they could and one source was BBC reruns...so I saw Tom Baker DR WHO episodes (including Sarah!:blushing:) as my first intro to TARDIS-land....I had my Mom knit me a scarf like his until I realized it was ridiculous to wear - OOF do I have issuesX_X

yes, most definitely, seen it twice already myself, (but i have to admit i am a dedicated dr who fan and maybe a little bit biased)

the story arc of this series is set up well, and i can imagine some serious debate coming up amongst the whovians...

the new series is well worth a look, but it's a bit less 'easy-access' than it used to be - bit worried that it's going to lose viewers by going darker and more interesting!

I love Dr Who! I'm going to go watch it at my uncle's house this week, weird that that's one of the few things we like to do together lol But I'm way more of a torchwood fan, the new one on stars in las vegas coming soon :)

I don't watch the show, but I noticed this is the same actor who recently portrayed young gay author Christopher Isherwood in the film Christopher and His Kind. I love that film.

New series isn't as accessable to the general public, it misses having the anchor of a family on earth quite badly

Season 5 is available on DVD. It's exellent and the 6th season just started but it's one of those shows that's worth waiting for it to hit DVD. It's a very gay friendly show with gay producers and writers working on it.

I've found this current Dr had to get used to. I found watching his first series back on dvd helped a little. Saw the first of this current series last week, and was a little underexcited. I am a dr Who fan from a child, and am slowly collecting all the old dvds. So I am a bit of a traditionalist, and sometimes I struggle with what the new series do I think. It's good, but he's not the best of the drs, probably ranks about number 8 for me.

I love the new series, anyone have any thoughts on who the little girl is., or who is in the astronaunt suit that kills him. and the little girl who is a time load, is she a timeload from the past or future ? I was also wondring if anyone has any thought on who the silence is ,or what it is ?

Thank you

Have a nice day :)

I love the new series, but I admit that it could be a little harder to access for the general public. The 11th Doctor requires a bit to get used to, but he's great.

well i have been a doctor who fan way back. i saw it when john portwee did it then from there on for a long time. I think i lost it after peter davidson and for awhile. I wasn't able to watch any of the new one. Then when I got the net I was able to look at the old one's which i do, on the youtube. As well as the current one. Personally Matt does take some getting use to.

As for the little girl. If she is a time lord which she could be. I think she might be Pond kid. For some reason the doctor seem's worried that she is pregant since it was mentioned.

As for the silence and who killed the doctor.

I would have to say maybe it was Pond who did it. One of them weird storyline were it had to be her.

I'am more interested in what River Song did.

Personally i go with killing the doctor and she in her own way trying to repeat the debit.

I've been a fan of the series, going on 20 years now. I honestly wasn't expecting much when they restarted the series, and brought Christopher Eccleston on board. Boy was I in for a surprise. It's fantastic, and the fan base is growing strong and stronger. The new Doctor brings a new spark to the role, but, then again, so did David Tennant, who I miss, but it's been a great ride so far.
