The Thanks Button

Every second or third time I wanna hit the Thanks Button, I get this annoying vBulletin-message that I'm not authorized to log in to this post.

So now you how much privileges a SVIP got - not authorized to hit the Thanks Button :angry::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Well as you can see mine is working ok There is a situation when you will get this message - when either the original poster or a Mod/Admin has gone back in to edit it. Until the edited version is saved and "re-posted" it cannot be accessed or "thanked"

And that is every second or third time Gorgik wants to hit the thanks button? What a row of statistically unlikely coincedences!

With me rarely works well. When I use the button "thanks", my nick does not appear immediately, but after several seconds. Sometimes, after waiting more than 5-10 seconds to make it appear I have to reload the page. :waiting:

As you can see not then a great privilege to be "nobles". :rofl:

My thanks button seems to work properly, haven't had any problems since the forum coming back online and the uploaders (like myself) should get a thank you since they work so hard to prepare these wonderful sets to post/share here.

I think I must apologize to the forum, and this is why :

Some 5-6 days ago I bought a new laptop; a HewlettPackard with Windows8 and, of course, IE as standard browser.

My old laptop was a Samsung with Windows 7, which I liked very much, but I had downloaded something I shouldn't have downloaded which made the computer almost out of descent working order. So it was necessary to go buy a new laptop.

Now on the old Samsung I usually used Firefox as browser and I had never had this specific problem with the Thanks Button on GH, and initially I didn't have any suspicion that the problem was an IE-problem, not a GH-problem.

Well last evening my IE crashed so I had to download the latest version of Firefox. Which I did, and the Thanks Button problem seems to have totally disappeared.

So my idea is, there never was any GH-problem. It was an IE-problem all along.
