Anybody watch the live production of The Wiz (USA, NBC tv network) this week?
I thought it was a bit of a mess.

I watched it and I thought it was pretty good and it bought back a lot of memories of the Michael Jackson and Diana Ross version although I feel their version was much better than this one considering it was a film and not done live. My only concern with this one is that with live shows being presented for TV format can be very difficult in bringing that live essence to television and it loses its quality. So...that is the only complaint I have considering how it was being presented.

I thought it was done quite well. The material is really feeling the 70s now though. I've been around long enough that one of my school trips and first broadway shows back in I think 1975/76 was The Wiz.
