What's the rule with posting on a thread were the original post is often years old? I don't mean the ongoing ones I mean say a topic that was posted in say 2017 but only had say 5 replies. Hope I make sense.
Reason for asking is some communities don't like bumping threads but I found a topic I really wanted to comment on, so I did, so I'd like to know if that is not allowed or discouraged be good to know.
