Time display in error

Yer I noticed this. If it was not corrected tomorrow I was just going to find the setting in my set up area and increase it by 8 hours to get around it. I guess the time on the server is not in the correct time zone at the moment for this GH software

I'm not the only person I have spoken to who thinks things would be much simpler if the whole world officially functioned on UTC (aka GMT). Use local times for things like arranging a lunch meeting and the like, but GMT for any official business like train and airline timetables or anything where there is the slightest possibility that more than one time zone will be involved. As a matter of fact I set the time display on my 'puter to GMT and select GMT as my timezone on every site I visit, since I got tired of conversion hassles, other sites thinking we had daylight saving when we don't, etc. In a previous career I worked with GMT extensively so I am used to it.

Actually - UTC and GMT are not the same thing at all! For half the year there is a 1 hour difference between them!
In Astronomy it's the norm to report times in UTC, which I just love. Makes things much easier. I think it would indeed be lovely if more people used it for more things.
