So true, Mardo. To be bombarded with adoring fanmail since before puberty must have a distorting effect on a persons sense of themselves. I worry for Tom when the fanmail stops, as it one day must. Don't want to see him become Norma Desmond.

True, but the self-obsession has not been there all along... seems to have only developed in the last few years... it has replaced the obsession with work/swimming. Now it's all 'me, me, me.'

Also you can't blame it on fans... that what it means to be an adult, you get on with it instead of pointing fingers etc. Someone needs to let gen z know so they won't end up perpetual teenagers.

1) But hello - he's a YouTuber, and like most others having his own YT channel he's supposed to talk about what has happened in his day, week etc etc.

2) There's a lot more than "me,me,me" - there's Lance, Robbie, Mum, other relatives. And Matty, and...
