OK, so I get a couple of movie downloads started and leave my computer to do it's thing while I run to the store for a few things.
I get home to find my computer dead. Not off, not unplugged, not a blown circuit, just dead...
I'm hoping that it something simple, like the power supply...
So I borrow my mothers laptop to try and at least get a couple of TV shows I've missed to watch. I'm downloading about 4 of them, all are between 70% and 95% completed when the router decides to shut it's self off...

I go downstairs and reset the router and come back up to find that now, my cable has also gone out...~X(

For me too, when electronics starts to act-out and die on me, they never come alone. It's almost like a domino effect, everything falls apart and you can only think: "are you f***ing kidding me?". But it also shows how anxious you can get over virtual loss (If computer broke, then ofcourse a financial loss). I was suprised when I was two weeks without computer or tv, that it was actually hard at first Health was fine, but media was gone...

My previous PC did the same.

bios gone.

I had to buy a new one.

I recovered only those files that were saved on the hard disk.

Now it gets really strange...

I"m watching a TV show on the lap top when Out of the corner of my eye I notice that my computer had suddenly come back to life. The browser was open, J-downloader was running, everything was just as it had been before it went off, as if it were merely in sleep mode...

Which makes absolutely no sense because in trying to determine the cause of the problem, I'd disconnected the power and tripped the circuit on the surge protector several times.

It's working perfectly fine now.

But the fucking cable is still out...
