Its seems that the download times are very long now ? Anyone else having this issue ?

very slow downloads

Anything you download from anywhere depends on 2 things, the speed of your own connection which can be affected by the time of the day or week and the speed of the server you're connecting to.
Two different download hosts can have completely different speeds, try again another time it could be the other way round.

As XMan has nicely explained, there are two possible bottle necks, if the bottle neck is not on your end, then a good solution is to simply run more downloads in parallel until you're at your maximum speed. I usually run 4 downloads in parallel.

There is the outside possibility that his ISP is sniffing, identifying and throttling packets from specific sources. Not many do, but the few that play this game try to throttle torrent and video downloads.
