Indeed many of the things he wrote about have come to pass, but his world-view was that of an Englishman in the 30s-40s; he didn't have any idea about how computers would have become in central to every aspect of life; computers as in PCs, mobile phones, practically every bit of machinery & especially the internet.
He couldn't have ever imagined the powers that the NSA/HCHQ & most big companies, whether part of the government or in the private sector, have in their grasp.
Aldous Huxley had it more right, oddly enough.
