even more, generally we find ourselves waiting for special occasions to express how we feel BUT the unexpected gift is the better one.
True in many cases, but in our case suprise gift when we have agreed not to get one, would brolly start a fight
But there are other ways for suprising someoneHe's not my other half so to speak but we are exclusively dating each other and I know he got me a Xmas gift and therefore, I do not like accepting anything without reciprocating the gesture and therefore, I bought him a leather jacket.

Not the other half but a really pleasant friend from twenty years back suddenly got in touch with me. I treat it as the sweetest present I have received in the last several years.
