i FEEL SORT OF bad for him...but i dunno i don't feel like its my job to blame him and i don't hold him to any special moral standard. ITs unfortunate that it happened but moreso the media isn't helping the family cope any better. I hope he is able to rise above this. We all have our transgressions, the most important thing is how we deal with it!

I did not watch it, but heard about it on the radio as some media experts were talking about it. Here is what they said.

It was all written and scripted for him and all he did was read it word for word. To show true sincerity there should have been some impromptu.

He kept blaming the media for attaching his family. That would not have happened if he had come out right away and made a statement. He had planned 2 but never had them. He caused all of this hoopla!

What they really thought was bad was he kept saying he was the only one to blame. Well of course he was!!!, but by saying that was he put some doubt in peoples mind that it was all the womens' fault, but because he is such an outstanding citizen he will take full responsibility!

All I can say is how terrible it is for all the people who looked up to and admired him. In sports today, ( at least in the US ) there are not that many athletes who one can really look up to.

My honest opinion is that I don't care! He's human, he means nothing to me on any personal level , I hate golf to an extreme, it's so boring, so he can get on and do what he wants.

If I'd owned the media I wouldn't have even thought it worth a mention at the bottom of page 20!

If you are luck to be as rich as he is, gazillions and gazillion ans different company portfolios... well maybe you should have to give up certain freedoms. A lot of young men, especially young black men look up to him and want to be just like him when they grow up... so while his argument that 'I make mistakes too, see, I'm just a regular guy and we are all the same...' is clever, it rings false for me. Sorry to say it --lovely hard working guy and everything-- but he has disappointed a lot of young people and children... that might sound a little old fashioned, but it can still hold true.

Ps. The stock market actually slowed down a little during his speech!

Pardon me but its quite infuriating that people expect such good morals of the rich and the wealthy...if anything tiger should be revered for anything his skill and dedication to the sport and that if one works hard enough their dreams should come through. THe whole role model thing should not to expanded to this social life, rather his work ethic. I am black and i am damn not sure not disapointed in him and neither should anyone else. I have my own issuees to worry about, and it sickens me the many biggots that seat upon their high chair and judge others as if they have no sin of their own. If any thing people should pity and pray for a better future for him and his family.

On another note teaching children a false hood that those who are great are also good is setup for a great disappointment. What they should be thought is that no one is perfect and we all make mistakes. Rather its how we rise above that matters. I grew up with black kids and i know the least of their worries is who tiger woods sleep with.

pardon what may seem a mean spirited rant...i just don't believe in the whole silly role model thing...Only lord knows the many scandals that are covered up by the rich and wealthy...which at times trumps the many trangressions of the "average joe". As long as he's not out killing people with a sawed off shot gun i could care less what he does with his private life.
