I've had the occasional bet on a horse but they are just one-offs.

An occasional night at the horse track (twice a year) and an occasional trip to Atlantic City (twice a year) and when I do its either blackjack or someother strange card table game they've created, i.e. Caribbean Poker, Let it Ride, etc...and its all in moderation.

my friend does that with his mustang...now he's facing a 300$ dollar ticket and might lose his license...and he still continues..

I used to bet on street races when I was younger...

It's a good thing I don't gamble because there's a riverboat casino within walking distance from my house...

I sometimes put a couple of quid on the lottery if I fancy it, but it's just a spur of the moment thing.

The only other time I gamble is when I KNOW I will win. I used to work in a bookies, and we'd have a woman come in every so often to make MASSIVE bets on dogs, combination tricasts on the whole. She'd make about 6 of these bets, and at least 4 would come in, if not 6, and they would PAY.

So I used to duck out when she came in, whack the bets down on the next bookies round the corner and make a mint myself!
