In South Asia you can usually get a 5 minute head and shoulder massage after having your hair cut. If the barber is cute that always gets my spine tingling. By the way, the total cost for haircut and massage is about 2 Euros in South India & Sri Lanka.

This reminds me of the joke about some Oxford students who came to visit Trinity College in Dublin. Well one of the Oxford guys goes into the toilet to pee in the urinal... as he is doing this a Trinity student has finished up and heads straight for the door --without bothering to wash his hands. Oxford guy is horrified! He gives the Irish student a snooty look and asks: "don't you Trinity guys bother to wash your hands after urinating?" "No", said the Trinity student, "we learn not to piss on our fingers instead!"

lol are you serious? It's still touching your private area :S the thought sickens me knowing that someone doesn't wash their hands after touching that part of their body. I get so disgusted using public washroom and seeing another guy walk past me not washing his hand its disgusting :S!

I see... but you are really just buying into a perception in relation to taboos and about how private parts are 'dirty' (a work with many connotations). In actual FACT, there is nothing dirty about 'down there'! Right now (if you are reading this) you are sitting at a keyboard that contains way more bacteria that a toilet seat! So do you wash your hands every time you use a keyboard? No? Because keyboards are not 'dirty' in the same sense that 'down there' is?

The main thing is just to wash your hands several times a day -since you go to the loo several times a day it's as good a time as any to wash them. But it's just a social convention, nothing more!

I'm starting to suspect you are one of those snooty visiting Oxford students!

:)

You are right on Integritas0 :thumbs up:, we should wash our hands BEFORE going. My hands are a lot dirtier then my pee pee is, after all he got washed good in the shower and has underwear and pants on over him for protection.
I often wash my hands before going, and yes I do wash them after also, even though I am a big boy now and don't pee on them.
But sometimes when I really have to go and I'm not using both hands, the force can sometimes whip it all over like a fire hose.:)):)):)):)):)):)):)):))

This makes me laugh - perceptions!

Did you know that urine is actually quite antiseptic and clean!

You get more germs on your hands from opening the door to leave!!

So what's the answer? Live in a bubble, wear rubber gloves ? :p

Somewhere I read that in an emergency use Urine as an antiseptic. Anyone else heard that? I think it's the uric acid.
In India some Hindu and Yoga sect members drink their own urine as a spiritual practice. No one's ever become ill from it to my knowledge. But like most people I find the idea revolting. X_X

Urine is sterile, and in a pinch can be used to cleanse a wound (Marine survival training 101;) )

I was an ambulance driver for several years and I still tend to wash my hands often and very thoroughly, the same way a doctor does before surgery. I work in a restaurant now, once a customer came in the restroom as I was washing up and made a comment about "are you getting ready for brain surgery..." I just said, "no I'm cooking your food...":p

Lol thanks for the informative insight Integritas but tell me, when you walk in the washroom and had seen a guy leave the washroom who just peed or had taken a dump and didn't wash his hands and touch the handle bar going down the stairs, would you touch that handle bar and pretend you were just eating something would you continue and be comfortable eating that meal knowing that you just touched the same handle bar that the guy had used who didn't bother to wash his hands after using the washroom? lol I know I wouldn't :S

Love that story :p

I've always had a feeling that some people are hygene freaks. You have an immune system for a reason and that protects most people from all the horrible things around you. If you didn't go near bacteria your system would not have the immunity.

The keyboard thing is absolutely true. Using a PC and other equipment at work is far more "filthy" and as said before it's all perceptions and social conditioning. We all have it, but I'm aware of it although , like most, I get swallowed up in social "conventions" ;)

OK, I have the best one!

Your trying to sleep in a tent while camping, and there is a misquito in the tent with you and it keeps circling by your ear!
