He gave us Wimbledon!! then Tour De France!! but so far no The Ashes!!

One would have thought that 6 hours a day over 5 days of varying combinations of hunks, daddies, and young fit bucks,(granted no actual bona-fide twinks), running about, constantly bending over, adjusting their genital protectors etc. would have given him an interest...if only the close-ups of the bowlers polishing the ball on the crotch of their whites.

Ok - so a certain amout of "poetic licence" there...lol

Speaking personally the fact that this great festival of THE ONE TRUE SPORT will offer countless examples of the Australian bowlers having the stuffing knocked out of them and great slow-mo replays of Ozzie middle stumps cartwheeling away will keep me in "Hard-on Heaven" throughout the summer.

(Just re-read the above..and found it to be perfectly rational and in no way biased)

Are you serious??? :p

It's cricket!!

The Ashes are actually ashes of a wicket (I think ) from years ago and England & Australia (who always win LOL) battle it out each year for possession. Although I don't think it's ever actually moved from Lords, but i might be wrong. I'm no expert, but it's the only sport I have any passing interest in.

It's the sport version of chess. And I know it's not understood in America.

There is no other sport where you can sit around for 5 days and it can still come out a draw :p It can make for a pleasant afternoon though if you ever go to see live cricket.

See, knew you wouldn't understand it LOL :p

I think only the USA (although they might have a team) are the only ones who don't really play it. It's a huge thing in India, Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka & South Africa, apart from here.

Can't be all bad then ;)

They possibly do, Bo, but it's like the USA, pretty low key.

It seems to be mostly in the former colonies of the old British Empire countries. I'm not sure whether we invented it or imported it from maybe India??

I'm not really an expert on such things :p

Definitely a mind game Thor ..the mental side of cricket - strategy, field placing, bowler (or pitcher as you would say) changes etc etc is equally key to winning or losing as the physical abilities of the players. :thumbs up: :thumbs up:

Are you asking for my ashes after I get cremated, so you can keep them in an urn on your fireplace mantel?
