I heard from a friend that a kid here in the states killed his dad because he was punished too much....mind you this kid is ten! WOW.

I don't know how things work exactly in the USA... I understand the need for people to be armed, but that need arises exactly because owning a gun is so easy. They should make sure one is a responsible, intelligent citizen before granting a gun license, through personality, psychological tests and whatever. If your 10 year old can have access to your gun, then you should have never gotten access to one yourself!

True! The number of people killed and disabled for life by gunshots In USA each year is 4 times bigger than the number of American Soldiers Killed in the war in Iraq! Its called FREEDOM. I sometimes wonder if we need to send troops over there to save the American people?

no one will ever take away the guns here, its a hot topic for a lot of ppl, but it will never happen (not sure if thats a good thing or bad) I personally don't have any guns, and have never used one since i left the army, but in some towns in the south, there are actually laws that say you have to carry one (old law, but still on the books) lol

At this point there is no way to "disarm" America, nor should we. I have never owned a gun, handled a gun and I'm not even sure if I've seen one up close, but I do beleive in the right to bear arms and protect yourself, although I'm not sure I agree with being able to brandish one in public. But the ass kicker for me is why the hell do we, the people, we the NRA, we the lunatics need AK 47's, or russian made uzi's or any fully automatic killing machine to be legal? That I dont understand and any arguement proposing their usefullness in everyday life is one of just a few arguements I cant even stand to listen to. It makes no sense and they should be banned, destroyed and anyone caught with one should go to jail.
And, in this kids case, just because the neighbors tell of a loving, doting father doesnt mean he wasnt an abused kid. God knows how many kids lives would have been saved had adult family, friends and neighbors opened their eyes and seen through the smoke screen some very manipulating and abusive fathers/men (mothers/women too) are able to pull off. I know one thing...there are an innumberable amount of sick, twisted, perverted, abusive men in this world then there are kids (no matter the age) who are cukoo enough to kill their father for no reason at all.
