Hay guys I need your opinion on this, not sure what to do.

I met a guy on a gay social network site 3 weeks ago and we hit it off great, we would talk daily by messaging, email, texting, and by phone. He is like a 16 hr. drive away from me. Now I know you will say long distant relationships are bad but just bare with me here. About 4 days ago he asked me if I would be interested in a relationship with him, and I told him yes I would love that. So we talked about it some but I think we should get together and actually meet.

So now it’s the next day 3days ago and we were chatting on messenger just having a good time. Then we decided to connect with our microphones on messenger and chat, (the reason for that was his phone got disconnected) so I connected my microphone and he told me he could hear me just fine, all is good then he connected his microphone but I could not hear him, so I told him over my microphone. He had his web cam on also and I could see his face but it was dark and I could not make out if his lips were moving, then all of a sudden he must have yelled because I think I faintly heard him say f**k, so I asked him what did you say? Then he did something and is webcam fell and I think he said f**K again so I said what’s the mater babe? Then he put the webcam back up and typed in “I know you can hear me” and I told him I could not hear him. Then it looked like he was doing something on the other computer, I thought he must be trying to fix the problem, I still could not hear him or see if his lips were moving so I thought I will give him a couple of minutes to try and fix it so I told him “I will be right back I have to take a piss”.

So I went and took a piss and when I came back not more than a minute or two he had left the messenger, so I tried to reconnect with him on messenger with no reply but it did show him still online on the site. So then I sent him an email on the site asking what happened and waited. Then the email came up as read. So I waited some more with no reply so I sent him another email and another and all changed from unread to read as he looked at them. And still no reply back from him. I thought maybe I did something wrong so I sent him an apology letter to apologize for anything I may have done wrong and asked him to please contact me; it came up as read but still no reply so I sent another one and it was the same deal.

Now I really feel bad because I feel like a stalker now, but I still need to know what I did wrong so I logged on to the site and saw he was online so I instant messaged him and the messenger said he was connecting then it told me he refused the connection.

So yesterday morning I sent him an email apologizing again and asked him to be a man about this and at least reply to the email and tell me if we are done or delete me from his friends list on that site and face book if we are done.

Well it’s the next day (today 24hrs. later) and he read the email yesterday morning and still no reply and I am still listed as his friend on that site and on face book, (he did not delete me).

I know what you guys are going to tell me you are going to tell me it is over, and I am kind of guessing that. But I just don’t get it? I mean god show some balls take care of things be a man. But I just do not understand if he is done and does not want to be friends why didn’t he delete me from his friends list on the sites or even just one of them and why has he not deleted all the emails I sent him, the site also shows if they delete the email from you.

I don’t know, tell me what you guys think about the whole thing and what I should do next, it just does not make sense to me things were going so great even he said he was happy.

If you have questions just ask.

Thanks

Well, in all honesty, I feel that you were going really fast with this in order to take it to a relationship level within only three weeks of chatting. Also, considering the fact that you were just chatting and not even a physical in person meeting really boggles my mind somewhat. With that being said, and again, this is just my personal opinion, I think you should take this as a blessing in disguise because I tend to believe there is so much more going on with this guy than what he put forth with you in his conversations such as; mental issues, or a boyfriend or even girlfriend/wife that he hasn't mentioned. I can tell you from personal experience a couple of years ago, I started chatting with a guy online and within a matter of two weeks of chatting, he started acting as if we were boyfriends and what was so shocking is that he had an supposedly ex-wife and four kids that he was dealing with which I felt was a lot of baggage. He also had displayed a lot of ground rules especially which I found very odd and strange since I've never consented to a relationship with him and he bugged me constantly about coming to visit me in my hometown and even considering moving to where I live. To say the least, I began to get threat messages from his so-called ex-wife and how she will ruin his career if I got involved with him. Therefore, I immediately blocked off all communication access from him and I honestly think this is what you should do. Take some advice...Slow your roll..and get to know a person before you consider being in a relationship with them especially someone online. Anyone can say what you want to hear but its all about meeting them in person which can be a drastic change from what you gathered from several weeks of chatting.

The basis for a relationship should be confidence. That's often difficult, even when you know a person for a longer period. I wouldn't trust this guy. This kind of dates can be risky. Give yourself a lifeline. Do not go without a traceable address and phone number of such a person and hand them over to someone you can trust.
But my best advise would be, forget it!

i honestly don't think you did anything wrong. I see that you like the guy, but you probably should have let him be and give him a chance to tell you what happened. From my point of view he is sketchy... I would definitely want to face chat with someone--that i can clearly see--before i travel 16 hours to meet them. All in all i say move on.

I hear ya it was fast but just FYI he was the one that pushed to be boyfriends and I told him we should meet before we do this, also he told me he did have an x-boyfriend but it ended 2 years ago so he claimed.
Thanks for the comment and I do agree with you it was moving much to fast for me. Think I will wait until Sunday night just to see if he tries to contact me with some lame excuse I would love to hear it. Then I will delete him as a friend.
Thank You!;)

If you still want to make a relationship with him, maybe you should give some time, you had sent your message anyway so its his problems if he dont give any reaction. Take some time, not contact him for a few days or give a message few days later like "Hi, how are you? Just want to say if you need a friend to talk, Im here." just like that and dont send him another replay unless he message you first. Cause somehow I think that he also kinda confuse about this relationship. Are you the special person hes looking for, something like that.
So just give yourself and him sometime, do other activities so you wont think about him too much. Good luck!

Thanks everyone;

The part I just don’t get is why didn’t he delete me as a friend?
Does he really think he has a chance at me after this?
What is he thinking?
It’s like someone comes up to you off the street and hits you in the head with a bat and then asks if you would like to be friends, like that will happen. I guess that’s the part I just don’t get.

I could prob. try that and see what happens. It just kind of pissed me off its like come on let’s talk about this and see if we can fix it.

Maybe he was moving too fast for himself.
