The Night Before Christmas. Tom and Jerry 1941.
Eight and a half minutes of the finest ever animation, all done by hand. And the music, densely packed with twists and turns, recorded in one take because you only get one chance with optical recording. Youtube keep deleting intact postings of the film but you can easily find it on the other similar sites.
