Did you ever get the idea that maybe providing screenshots could make it easier for people to recognize actors, than making them scroll through a videos?

I think it started when people started getting criticized/insulted for showing faces of banned models working for banned studios. Easier to post an anonymous link; if you don't know the actor or studio it's safer .

Actually, I don't think that's the reason.
It started with the availability of free porn on tube sites... my question was a rethorical one.
