Why do some guys post split-up scenes from full movies?

I noticed that some posters use split-up scenes from full movies as their contribution in the Gay Clips Section. I cannot understand why they split up the stuff and do not post the full movie in the appropriate section.

The worst are the postings where they split all up, and change the name to e.g. gay70014.wmv.

I prefer the full movie, or the site rip scenes (like MAP scenes), but not split up scenes in the clips section.

Not everyone has the internet capacity to download 4Gigs of data, not to mention, in most cases what's the point in downloading an entire movie if you only are interested in 1 or 2 scenes? I own at least 4Tb of porn, and of those almost all of the full movies I've owned havent been looked at to completion cuz by the time I've wanked and came I've lost interest

Another advantage of clips vs full movies is that clips are maintained within a reasonable file size so people can download videos freely without having to register onto the file host or having to attain a premium account to download files whose sizes are larger than the free downloads quota.

My opinion - ripping, converting, splitting and uploading files take a lot of work so to be fair these guys do put a lot of work in providing content for those of us who are interested

As Casanova mentions, some people only want a few scenes from a film.

I have been posting the individual scenes from the full movie. Or only post the clips that interest me.

If people want the full movie from the individual scenes they can easily be joined together again to make the full movie from many free applications out on the net (namely VirtualDUB been one).

And as Pnkluis mentions file names are changed to try and prevent the clips been deleted

sometime for me,i just take the scene where i love the models and the action only,so it's useless to keep the part that i didn't want to.

beside full movie only makes my hardisk full

Individual scenes are much better to combine. I really like it to put together different clips from different movies and in my opinion it needn't to be put together to 1 big file because it's too much to handle. I like to watch my stuff on TV and it is really comfortable to put together the individual scenes maybe on an USB stick etc... as you have your little porn TV programme In general I agree totally with *Casanova* but everybody has to decide. For me individual scenes makes most sense

People usually don't like all the scenes in a video. I for one certainly don't. Which again makes sense, since video producers cater to a large audience and not everyone likes the same thing.
So, posting indivdual scenes is a good compromise.

This forum is not (and in my opinion shouldn’t be or become) an open modern market where supply is controlled by demand by consumers. We share things, feelings, opinions and illusions. The illusion part is mainly governed by the porn section where things are displayed that runs wild our imagination. However it is mainly stolen property. So you could compare us with Robin Hood, but in a modern version, because you don’t give away stuff, but you multiply it by sharing. And what do you share? Of course that, what you are enthusiastic about.
Compare it with a cooking club. You find a very nice recipe for an apple pie and you are eager to share it with others, than you don’t share the complete book, but the particular recipe. Members can ask you for more when they are interested.

However, I make a little note. By recent developments on the file server market there is a tendency to offer as many as possible split files. Not my choice, because you actually lose your Robin Hood status. In my opinion the will to share should stay the basis for this forum.
