Why music streaming is better than purchasing music or vice versa?

Most of people prefer to steam musics instead of purchasing them. What's your opinion? Streaming is like you have the permission to listen to the music for certain time period with allocated price. However, it'll be over when you're no longer subscribing to the music streaming platform. But purchasing music is like you are 'owning' it forever even it just a virtual good compared to the streaming subscription.

Mind to share your opinions below :blushing:

Music streaming is the future, that much is clear. (btw, digital track sales dropped by 23.4-percent in 2017) But I much prefer ownership every time. My music collection is unique to me.

I never stream, because I mostly listen to music on my PC, and it has plenty storage space, and I would never trust the external company to keep something as important as music safe for me.

I might be a dinosaur, but they can take my mp3 collection from my cold dead hands. :p

LP's are making a comeback.

Music is not as good without the cracking sounds. Too clean and antiseptic. Even in a music hall you have the crowds who make an array of little sounds just by crossing their legs, fishing something out of a handbag, or the odd cough. Kind of adds to the atmosphere. I mean who really wants perfection?

Ya. I agree with haiducii. having a collection of music is such a big thing for me. Luckily you guys living in great internet speed area, but not for me.

Now I wonder why iTunes had stopped their huge $0.69 song promotion this year. They always sell huge bunch of digital tracks at half price at end of the year. But now, it seems that apple have it enough. Maybe this is due to bad sales of digital tracks like haiducci said and they focus more on apple music streaming services..

I feel the same but also listen on stereo.

69 cent songs are always available. The direct link may not be always visible, but using the search option and entering "69 cent songs" as the search term will return a list of 69 cent songs every time. ;)
