Once my Dad brought 2 of my aunts (his sisters) & one's husband to our house; it was the sisters/husband's one & only visit. Dan & I cooked spaghetti, & Dan decided to spice it up just a little with a bit of hot sauce.

It was absolutely inedible! He must've put 2 1/2 bottles of hot sauce in it. They all went home hungry & I'm sure stopped somewhere to eat on the way home. One of my most embarrassing moments of all time.

Did I mention Dan was drunk?

I've made a hash of it one time for that reason, and never again

These days I don't cook so much, I don't have so many guests for dinners and use the easy options just for myself. I still enjoy it on the occasions I have a cooking spree, but too much else to do than bother just for myself most of the time.

Well, a better way could be to cook sober first, then eat and enjoy some tasty wine or anything else because the combination between food and alcohol doesn't make you drunk too fast because the food absorbs the alcohol
